Roland Emmerich (* 10. November 1955 in Stuttgart) ist ein deutscher Filmproduzent, Regisseur und Drehbuchautor. Berühmt wurde Emmerich durch seine Katastrophenfilme, wie Independence Day, Godzilla, The Day After Tomorrow und 2012 sowie Stargate aus dem Jahr 1994, auf dem auch mehrere Serien und Filme basieren.
